Grit and Iron LLC is a family-owned and operated land clearing company based in Stilwell, Oklahoma. We were founded by Cody and Amanda Morris after Cody's honorable discharge from the Marine Corps — because working for ourselves meant being present for what matters most: our three kids.
Owning this business gives our family the flexibility and freedom that a traditional job never could. Cody runs every job personally — there's no crew you'll meet instead of the owner. When you hire Grit and Iron, you get Cody.
Amanda handles the business side — scheduling, marketing, client communication, and operations. Between the two of us, every part of your project is managed with the same standard of excellence Cody brought to the Marine Corps.

Cody served 9 years in the United States Marine Corps as a Motor Transportation Operator and Firearms Instructor, stationed in California, Hawaii, and Virginia. In 2023, he was awarded the Walsh Trophy — given to the best overall pistol shooter in the entire Marine Corps. That same precision and attention to detail is what he brings to every land clearing job. In June 2025, Cody competed at the SkillsUSA National Leadership & Skills Conference in Atlanta and took 2nd place nationally in the Heavy Equipment Operator competition — proving his mastery extends well beyond the firing range. When Cody is on your property, you're getting one of the most skilled and disciplined operators in the business.
Amanda is the engine behind the scenes at Grit and Iron. She manages all scheduling, client communication, marketing, and business operations — keeping everything running smoothly so Cody can focus on the work. Originally from the Tulsa area, Amanda brings sharp business instincts and a deep commitment to customer experience. If you call or text Grit and Iron, you're likely talking to Amanda first. She'll make sure your project is scheduled, your questions are answered, and that nothing falls through the cracks. Together, Cody and Amanda run Grit and Iron the way it should be run — like it's personal. Because it is.
