How Our Forestry Mulching Works in Tahlequah
Forestry mulching is a way of clearing land with one machine. Our Bobcat T86 with a professional mulching head cuts and grinds trees and brush into mulch right where they stand, and the mulch stays on the ground to protect the soil.
Forestry mulching fits the Illinois River watershed well: the mulch layer stays on the ground, slows runoff on slopes, and keeps sediment out of the creeks that drain toward the river.

Know the Ground Around Tahlequah
Around Tahlequah the ground rolls from rocky oak-and-hickory ridges down into creek bottoms that feed the Illinois River, and a lot of the acreage off Highways 62, 51 and 82 has grown up thick after years without management. We hear from families building on wooded acreage outside town, owners of river-area cabins and rentals, and landowners around Northeastern State University who want old lots opened back up.
